the best way to watch the upcoming presidential debates is to NOT watch them! now before you start foaming at the mouth, give me a second to explain... what i want you to do is turn off your TV and turn on the radio. if you just HAVE to *watch* the debates, tivo them for later, but listen to them live...

i promise you, you will be AMAZED at the difference it makes...

by removing the visual distractions, youll be able to focus directly on the questions and answers, and youll pick up on all kinds of things you would have missed otherwise... subtle inflections, changes in tone, and even hesitations or stumbles where the candidate is clearly off balance and trying to get back on track... all this and more will just jump out at you when you remove the dog-and-pony-show aspect of the debates...

face it, the candidates (both of them) are both skilled actors, and they intend to use that skill to influence and deceive you... thats what politicians do, after all... take away their canvas, and you to some extent cripple their ability to do that... and underneath, youll find yourself much closer to the truth of each candidate...
