Happy 9th B-day, TerraVirtua!!

it seems amazing, but its true... on august 24, 1995, terravirtua.com was first born into the world... i figure thats GOT to make it one of the oldest single-owner internet domains in the WORLD... sure, there are other domains that havent changed hands a dozen times, are still operating, and are older, but not many... i figure, at the outside, maybe 100... and thats being generous...

i still remember registering the site... back in the day, there was no network solutions, or godaddy, or .biz, or anything like that... there was only the InterNic... and you could actually CALL them on the phone and someone would answer right away... in fact, i was working for an ISP at the time, and we had a rep we liked to work with... sent them little gift baskets on the holidays... and we had their direct line...

try to do that with the domain registries now... oh well, things change... both the internet and this site have gone through some pretty crazy changes... but theyre both still here, for better or for worse :)

but enough looking back... im looking forward to the coming year, and to making it a DECADE of online presence!
