at last it has arrived... and god damn it is SWEET! i get 3-meter positional accuracy with this baby... although i have to say its vaguely creepy to watch the little arrow crawl along the map with such precision... makes me feel like some kind of smart bomb on wheels...

so far ive been impressed with the accuracy of the maps as well... im currently on hold with garmin so i can order this year's updated map data cds (on hold because the fucking web form is broken! grr), although im not sure thats really necessary because the data so far is 100% accurate... but hey, its a free upgrade so i might as well...

mmmm i just love this buck rodgers shit... its amazing how much tech has advanced in the last few decades... if you had told me it would be possible to have a electronic atlas with real-time positional tracking and automatic routing / re-routing IN MY CAR for $650, id have never believed it...
