if youve wondered where i disappeared to, i was assigned a pretty crazy project at work a month ago, and have been doing pretty much nothing but that every day for four weeks... as in, all day, every day, weekends included... ugh!!

ive been in flash hell... my employer went and promised a product we didnt actually have... a flash front-end to one of our applications... they said "sure sure, we actually have one in development... in fact, it will be ready to roll out by the end of the month!"... the TRUTH of the matter is, we had NO SUCH THING! on top of that, we have NO flash people working for us... and so naturally, i get stuck with it...

"uhm yeah... we need a complete, working UI and front end for one of our clients written in flash... oh yeah and youll need to write completely new backend XML messaging interfaces to talk to the flash front end... oh and one more thing, we need it in four weeks (!!!) so if you could do that, that would be greaaat um'kay?

whats that? you dont know flash? uhm heres a hundred bucks, go buy some books...

yes. im serious.

amazingly enough, ive managed to pull it off, and once it is out of testing and i can officially reveal it, ill do so here... as much as i hate flash, i have to admit, i AM kinda proud of it, it being the first thing ive ever done in it and all... its ugly as all hell, but hey, im not an artist... and thats one thing you cant learn from a book :)

sigh... i seriously need a raise, im doing like three jobs now, all for the price of half of one job :( damn this economy!
