best minesweeper game ever...

mamono sweeper is the best minesweeper game i have ever played. its minesweeper with an rpg twist. i know, sounds crazy, but its not. instead of mines there are monsters... the numbers represent the total combined level of any surrounding monsters. you start at level 1, and can only kill monsters of your level or lower. you gain experience for every monster killed... so when you hit 2, you can kill level 1 and level 2 monsters, etc etc.

it takes a bit to get the hang of it, but once you do... well, its addictive as hell. it IS possible to win, i just now won my first game, but just like traditional minesweeper, luck can be a cruel bitch at times. plus theres math involved, so it might not appeal to everyone (lookin at you ed :) ) but its still worth checking out...

lol i know, right? i played for about an hour, vowing not to quit until i won one... i was absolutely obsessed :) now that ive won it once, i win it every time i play, presuming i dont get popped the first few clicks...

Yeah, I finally figured out the system. I decode all the numbers using a variety of cross-reference techniques. The only monsters I uncover to see the number below them are the 1st lvl guys. The rest of them, I just mark. That allows me to know the value of the rest of the monsters which would, otherwise, disappear. That leaves the red uncovered numbers as a value of 1, and the rest of the monster values are in green, as I marked them. Once the whole board is decoded, I start revealing the 2's, then the 3's, etc. I win every time with the full 10 HP.

this is going to sound stupid but... how do you mark squares? i tried doing what the instructions said at the bottom but they didnt work, didnt do anything at all... the game would be absurdly easy if i could mark squares with a value, because as it stands now ive got to either remember, or mentally recalculate every time i go back over a space...

never mind, just figured out that for some reason opera wont allow it. works fine in chrome and firefox... go figure. man, its ABSURDLY easy once you can mark :)
