huun-huur-tu perform traditional Tuvan folk music, using a technique called "throat-singing" which is a polyphonic style in which multiple notes are sung at one time by a single singer, producing a weird harmony even when only one person is singing. its pretty wild.

i like all their stuff, but this is without question one of the most hauntingly beautiful and achingly sad things i have ever heard. i cant understand the words, but really, i dont have to... the lament comes through loud and clear.
