to my knowledge, in every single case of the passage of concealed- or open-carry legislation, the rate of shootings and gun violence has decreased, entirely counter to the doomsday scenarios put forth by the antis every time this comes up somewhere. every. single. case.

this is important enough, im going to say it again for emphasis:

now, i have no doubt that SOMEwhere out there, during SOME time period carefully and deliberately selected to support the anti position, there is a counter-case to this. there always is. however, i think without question the evidence is overwhelmingly against the antis on right-to-carry issues. the simple fact is, people who go to the trouble of meeting the legal requirements of their state and municipality to carry a weapon are, by definition, law-abiding. and law-abiding people typically arent the kind to twist off and shoot someone like a fucking retard. and, news flash, the fucking retards and criminals already carry their guns, whether or not its legal!
