it isnt enough. there's plenty of stories out there about bad emergency operators, but i have to believe that the vast VAST majority of operators are professionals performing admirably under the kinds of pressure that would reduce most people to gibbering idiots, and doing so on a regular basis.

the transcripts at the bottom... oh man. reading them is bad enough, but damn theyre hard to listen to. especially that second one. i dont care how old you are or what shit youve been through, it doesnt take much to wind back the years and imagine the helpless terror of being a child in that kind of situation... if youre not bawling by the end of that one, theres something wrong with you.
