gotta love amazon... dunno why im surprised, everything ive ever ordered from amazon that wasnt digital went through this kind of bs... i have NEVER ordered a physical product from amazon that didnt have incorrect info or shipped in 4 different packages or shipped to the wrong place or shipped an empty box (yes really)...

but whatever, as long as it gets here... and at least with the kindle i shouldnt be buying to many more physical books in the future, from amazon or otherwise. im sure there will still be a book or two here and there that doesnt show up in the kindle store, but im not worried too much about it, ive got a list of about 50 books they DO have that ive been meaning to read, which should last me around a year before i even have to start worrying about finding new stuff...

now i just hope it doesnt suck... although if it does, i can always resell it on ebay, theyre averaging $600 right now, even for opened product, so i could make a $200-ish profit. but honestly, i dont WANT the profit, the idea of an ebook reader with a nice e-paper display, wireless book delivery, and the capacity to hold hundreds and hundreds of books in a convenient form factor really appeals to me. i considered the sony reader, but the selection of books was so poor that i passed on it. thanks to amazon's huge selection, the kindle seems just about perfect.

with any luck, ill never have to lug another box of books to the attic again... i guess ill find out tuesday...
