for any fellow gamers out there, EVERYTHING on steam is on sale right now, until jan 1... some stuff is DIRT cheap, with some games as low as $5, and a LOT of them at $9, including some pretty darn decent games. if youve never used steam before, this would be a good time to check it out... download the client from www.steampowered.com, create an account, find a game you like, put in your credit card info, and the game is downloaded to your machine... easy peasy, you can redownload it whenever you like, and it will automatically patch games as needed... so its a great way to buy games without having to worry about keeping up with the disks or cd-keys or manuals or whatever...
